Get ready for a laugh-out-loud and surprisingly tender exploration of modern romance in the golden years with Silver Foxes, the hit comedy by celebrated writers James Berg & Stan Zimmerman (The Gilmore Girls, The Golden Girls). This witty and insightful play delves into the world of online dating, friendship, and second chances with a sharp comedic edge and a great deal of heart.

The story follows four lifelong friends navigating the unpredictable terrain of senior dating apps after one of them is unexpectedly widowed. Thrust back into a world of curated profiles and awkward first dates, this tight-knit group must confront their own fears, expectations, and the hilarious realities of looking for love after 60.

Berg and Zimmerman, masters of character-driven humor, create a world that is both wildly funny and deeply authentic. Silver Foxes celebrates the enduring power of friendship, the courage to start over, and the idea that it's never too late to find—or redefine—love.

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party with Billy Stritch on Piano

Jim Caruso is known for hosting the weekly Jim Caruso’s Cast Party at New York’s historic Birdland for more than twenty years. Birdland is a vibrant scene where Broadway stars and aspiring artists come together for a great time. In addition to his successful solo career, Billy Stritch is renowned as the musical director and accompanist for artists like Liza Minelli, Tony Bennett, Marilyn Maye, Linda Lavin, and Christine Ebersole.

The evening begins at 6pm in the Grand Lobby with cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Then we’ll continue the night onstage with “Caruso – Cocktails – Canapes & Stritch.”

Passions run high as leading lady Lilli Vanessi and her ex-husband, actor/director Fred Graham, battle onstage and off in a production of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. With romance, comedy, sophistication, and behind-the-scenes high jinks, Kiss Me, Kate combines the irreverent humor of four brilliant writers: Sam and Bella Spewack, Cole Porter and William Shakespeare. Musical numbers include “So in Love,” “Wunderbar,” “Tom, Dick or Harry,” “Too Dart Hot,” “Brush Up Your Sharespeare,” “I Hate Men,” “Always True to You (In My Fashion)” and “Another Op’nin, Another Show.”

The Lucie Arnaz Awards

The Lucie Arnaz Awards were created to honor and celebrate the outstanding work of teachers and students in the performing arts, specifically musical theatre, in both public and private high schools in The Inland Empire, which includes both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The Lucie Arnaz Awards serve as a regional competition for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA), also known as the Jimmy Awards. McCallum Theatre will proudly serve as the new host venue for this prestigious event.

This year, 22 high schools will participate and compete for honors including Best Musical and Best Performance by an Actor and Actress. The awards ceremony at the McCallum Theatre will showcase performances from the five top musicals selected in the competition and feature performances from the top eight leading actors and actresses. From these finalists, two students will be selected to advance to the Jimmy Awards in New York City.

The McCallum Theatre is proud to host the Lucie Arnaz Awards as part of its membership in the Broadway League, supporting the growth of musical theatre education and celebrating the extraordinary talent of young performers in our region.

Mizell Center is a nondenominational, community-based organization that has served the Coachella Valley senior community for over 50 years. Mizell is the only Meals on Wheels provider in the Coachella Valley. We prepare, serve, and deliver approximately 600+ nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors and social dining sites at five Coachella Valley senior centers in Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, and Palm Springs.

Catalina Pride Celebration

June 12-13, 2026

Catalina Island,the LGBTQ+ community and allies throughout Southern California will join in the annual Catalina Pride Celebration on Saturday June 13, 2026. The main event will take place at Wrigley Stage in the center of Avalon and includes live entertainment as well as a pride walk in support of the LGBTQ+ community, with a late-night after party.
