We invite you to join us for the season opening event, the 2023 Annual Preservation Awards. This year, we present awards in the categories of Residential Preservation, Renovation and Restoration along with Excellence in New Design and a special Lifetime Achievement Award.

AAP Food Samaritans presents Evening Under the Stars - Genesis on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 5:30 pm.

For the 30th Anniversary of the event, we are bringing it back to our roots and having a celebration in one of the most spectacular estates in Palm Springs, with abundant food and drink and a ticket price more in line with our grass-roots nature. $200.

The event will take place at the home of Brad Lampley & Rigo Lomeli (formerly Houston South). Special entertainment will be presented by Lily Tomlin.

After a three-year hiatus, the event will raise much needed funds to help AAP – Food Samaritans support the critically needed programs that improve the quality of life for low- income people living with chronic illnesses in Palm Springs and surrounding communities.

In celebration of our supporters, we are honored to present the following with the Community Impact Award: Lori and Aubrey Serfling, and Nelda Linsk. We are honored to recognize their long-standing partnerships with us and all that they do in the community.

Step back in time and experience the roaring twenties at the much-anticipated 20th-anniversary celebration of the Hanson House Foundation. On Friday, November 10th, 2023, the Hanson House Foundation will transport guests to the enchanting era of the 1920s, bringing together a night of glamour, excitement, and charitable endeavors.

The highlight of the evening will be a live auction, featuring an array of exclusive and desirable items up for bid. From exquisite artwork and unique collectibles to luxurious vacation packages and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, the auction promises to ignite bidding wars and create an electrifying atmosphere.

A casino area will be set up for those feeling lucky, complete with blackjack, poker, and roulette tables. Guests can try their hand at these classic games of chance, hoping to strike it rich and win fabulous prizes.

As the night unfolds, an upbeat band will take the stage, filling the air with the infectious rhythms of the 1920s. The lively music will entice guests to dance and sway, creating an energetic and joyous atmosphere throughout the venue.

Hanson House is a “home away from home” for the loved ones of critically ill and injured hospitalized patients at Desert Regional Hospital. We also serve the needs of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment, parents of newborn babies critically ill in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), military families from the Marine base at Twenty Nine Palms and all families of First Responders. Our services are provided at low or no cost as we try not to turn away anyone because of an inability to pay.
