MEMORIAL DAY
Memorial Day Service at the California LGBTQ Veterans Memorial
The 25th anniversary of America’s first LGBTQ Veterans Memorial is honored with a solemn Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25 from 9–11 am, held at the California LGBTQ Veterans Memorial at Desert Memorial Park. This annual gathering pays tribute to all fallen service members and deceased veterans, featuring guest speakers, musical selections, and a presentation by the Desert Winds Freedom Band. Community members, veterans, families, and allies come together at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City to reflect, remember, and recognize the sacrifices made in service to our nation. More info
Memorial Day Air Fair & Flower Drop
The Palm Springs Air Museum commemorates the holiday with its annual Memorial Day Air Fair & Flower Drop on Monday, May 25 from 10 am–5 pm, honoring fallen U.S. service members with a full day of ceremonies and aviation experiences. The Air Fair opens at 10 am, leading into the 1 pm Memorial Ceremony, followed by the dramatic 2 pm Flower Drop after the Missing Man formation. Throughout the day, guests can explore aircraft displays, enjoy kids’ activities, and visit multiple food vendors, all included with regular museum admission. More info
Enhanced Traffic Enforcement
The Palm Springs Police Department is alerting residents and visitors that enhanced traffic enforcement will be in effect throughout Memorial Day Weekend, with officers increasing patrols from Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 to keep roads safer during one of the valley’s busiest travel periods. Enforcement will focus on protecting vulnerable road users—especially pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists—while dedicated DUI saturation patrols work to deter impaired driving citywide.
TUE: Coachella Valley Innovation Alliance Launch Event
The Coachella Valley Innovation Alliance (CVIA) debuts at Studio 4707 on Tuesday, May 26 from 4:30–7 pm, supported by Blue Zones Project Palm Springs. This inaugural gathering connects residents with local innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers shaping the region’s future. Featured speakers include Sarah Lacey, owner of The Best Bookstore, and Mona Babauta, CEO of SunLine Transit Agency. THU: XOXO Palm Springs Launch Event
The XOXO Palm Springs Launch Event lights up the Plaza Theatre on Thursday, May 28 from 5–8 pm, offering a first look at the new 12‑day arts and culture festival coming June 11–22. Doors open at 5 pm, with the program beginning at 6 pm, featuring preview performances by The Flamingo Girls, Sweet Baby J’ai, and Mikael Healey with special guest Anna. The Palm Springs 70mm Fest brings three days of large‑format cinema to the Historic Camelot Theatre from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31, showcasing iconic films in stunning 70mm on the valley’s largest screen. The series opens with Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Friday, May 29 at 7 pm plus an official proclamation by Palm Springs Mayor Naomi Soto declaring May 29 “Historic Camelot Theatre Day” in the City of Palm Springs. Saturday features The Searchers at 11 am, 2001: A Space Odyssey at 3 pm, and Boogie Nights at 7 pm. The festival concludes Sunday with Lawrence of Arabia at 11 am and West Side Story at 6 pm.

Silver Foxes
Silver Foxes, the hit comedy by writers James Berg & Stan Zimmerman, runs May 21–31 at Revolution Stage Company. This witty and heartfelt play follows four longtime friends navigating senior dating apps after an unexpected loss, blending humor with themes of resilience, friendship, and second chances. Fans of The Golden Girls and Grace and Frankie will appreciate its warm, character‑driven storytelling. The Palm Springs Art Museum is the departure point for Marilyn’s Morning After Snarkitecture Tour on Sunday, May 31, a sharp‑witted, 90‑minute bus experience led by comedian Shann Carr. Offered at 10 am and 12 pm, the tour serves “the tea with sugar and shade” as Shann blends humor, queer storytelling, and delightfully sketchy facts about Marilyn Monroe and other iconic Palm Springs women. SUN: United We Stand – A Movement for Equality
The Victorville Park & Ride becomes a hub for activism and pride on Sunday, May 31 from 9–11 am during United We Stand – A Movement for Equality. Organized by the High Desert Pride Center, Not Stepping Back, and High Desert Progressive Democrats, this non‑partisan demonstration calls for justice, visibility, and LGBTQ+ rights.
