Palm Springs resident, and DAP Health Board member, Scott Nevins, will officially launch his campaign to run for Palm Springs City Council, District 1 on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10:00am, in front of Palm Springs City Hall (3200 E Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262).

“I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Palm Springs City Council, District 1. I’ve always felt fortunate to live in the unique and wonderful City of Palm Springs. I have spent years working with national and local non-profit organizations to provide vital social and healthcare services to underserved communities. I became a Board Member at DAP Health and took my desire to help to a higher, more impactful level – but I kept thinking that there was more that I could do. Today is the first day of that “more”. I can’t wait to share my platform and plans with all of my neighbors in District 1, but more importantly, I look forward to listening to them, hearing their concerns and incorporating their input”.

Nevins’ campaign will be called “We Are One”, emphasizing the need to come together and work with each other, as a district, and as a city, to tackle the biggest issues facing Palm Springs “I believe that when we all work together, everyone wins. In District 1, where I live, I have seen so many issues go unaddressed, while my neighbors, businesses and organizations in the District feel ignored and underserved. We not only need a representative with new and innovative ideas, but also one who will show up and fight for every single resident in every corner of District 1 – and throughout all of Palm Springs. I want to be that representative. When elected, I will be singularly focused on the needs of our district and our city — I will not be a part time Council Member.”
