Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is holding a Job Fair to help tenants fill more than 60 open positions on Tuesday, October 25 from 10 am–4 pm at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The airport is preparing for the upcoming tourist season, which PSP is expecting to be the busiest on record. They are looking to fill a variety of positions ranging from airlines to restaurants, and the Bob Hope USO is even looking for volunteers. The airport requests that applicants bring plenty of resumes with them as several companies will offer on-the-spot interviews. More info

Jose Sarria: Panel Discussion Thursday

On Thursday, October 27 from 6–7:30 pm, a member of the Jose Sarria Foundation will be in conversation with a special guest for a panel discussion where a special exhibit of Jose Sarria: Legendary Drag Queen and LGBTQ+ Activist (1922–2013) is on display at the Welwood Murray Memorial Library in the main room through December 15. Jose Sarria was a legend of the San Francisco drag scene. Out and Latino, Sarria dedicated his life to fight for LGBTQ+ rights and even ran as the country’s first known openly gay candidate for public office. The exhibit is open daily at the museum from 10 am to 6 pm, and through 8 pm on Thursdays. More info

The Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert presents Palm Springs Leather Pride 2022 this Thursday–Sunday from October 27–30. This year’s theme is Eruption: Meat ‘n Heat and attendees choose from the Explosion or Discharge packages to gain admission to multiple pool parties, parking lot cruise parties and vendor mart, cigar social, Mr. Palm Springs Leather competition, Victory Dance, the closing party and celebration at host Hotel Zoso. Sordid Lives Benefit Screening

The Del Shores Foundation presents a one-night-only 22nd anniversary benefit screening of the original Sordid Lives film where it all began at the Camelot Theatres at the Palm Springs Cultural Center on Saturday, October 29 at 7:30 pm. The evening will be hosted by creator Del Shores and Del Shores Foundation Program Director Emerson Collins with appearances by original film cast members Rosemary Alexander, Newell Alexander, and Ann Walker. 18th Annual Greater Palm Springs Summit

The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) 18th annual Greater Palm Springs Summit will take place on Monday, October 31 from 9–11 am at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert. Traditionally this event draws more than 800 of the region’s business, civic, and education leaders. It’s an excellent and rare opportunity to hear from some of the area’s leaders, influencers, and decision-makers.
