City Palm Springs Seal Wide Header

The City of Palm Springs is urging residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to participate in crucial surveys designed to help shape the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan. With a deadline of June 1, 2025, this is a vital opportunity for everyone to contribute to the future economic landscape of Palm Springs.

Two distinct surveys have been launched: one tailored specifically for business owners and another for individuals who live, work, and visit the city. Completing the brief survey will provide the City with valuable insights into community needs, identify opportunities for growth, and inform economic development policies and initiatives for the coming years.

“Now is the time for the people of Palm Springsโ€”every resident, business, and innovatorโ€”to collectively define the future of our local economy,” said Ron deHarte, Mayor of Palm Springs. “Tomorrow’s Palm Springs economy isn’t something that will simply happen; it’s something we will create together. We will be the architects of our success. I urge you to take the survey and contribute your energy and ideas. Together, we will build the thriving Palm Springs we know is possible.”

Wayne Olson, Chief Economic Development Officer, highlighted the importance of the strategic plan as a guiding document for the city’s economic future. “So many factors outside of our control contribute to economic change,” said Olson. “From climate issues and national economic policies, even the way people shop, dine and visit is changing; so, itโ€™s critical for the City to have a plan to adapt to those changes and continue to support our great local businesses.”

The City emphasizes that making your voice heard is crucial and your input matters.
