LGBTQ+ History & Archives of the Desert is dedicated to preserving the legacies of LGBTQ+ activists and citizens in the Greater Palm Springs area. Their mission is to ensure that this vital history is not only preserved but also made accessible to all.
To achieve this mission, they conduct interviews with LGBTQ+ activists and citizens who have stories to tell and legacies to share. LGBTQ+ history is often overlooked in traditional historical accounts, making their work critical. By preserving and sharing these stories, they honor the sacrifices and achievements of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities, providing a valuable resource for future generations to learn from and be inspired by.
