Palm Springs Opera Guild, one of the longest-standing cultural institutions in the Coachella Valley, will host the 21st Anniversary Opera in the Park on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1 – 4 pm at Sunrise Park in Palm Springs. The free concert will feature eight accomplished opera professionals and will be accompanied by a professional orchestra conducted by Valery Ryvkin. Event attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day of beloved opera arias

Limited shade space under the main tent and in the Café d’Opera tent may be purchased by making a contribution through the Opera Guild office at 760-325-6107 or registering on the PS Opera Guild’s website. The event draws thousands of people from all over Southern California who unite to celebrate great opera music. Sunrise Park is loacated at 2000 East Ramon Road, Palm Springs.

The Main Tent is open to the general public and accessible for concert-goers on a reservation basis. Reservation can be purchased in spaces that accommodate up to 6 guest or individual seats.

The cast for this year’s concert includes Grace Kahl, Taylor Haines, Tara Wheeker, sopranos Brennan Blankenship, mezzo-soprano, Josh Wheeker, Anthony Leon, Tenors, Alex DeSocio, baritone, and Peter Barber, bass-baritone. These talented singers will perform arias from operas by Bizet, Donizetti, Mozart, Strauss, Rossini and Verdi.
