On Friday, May 12th, A.J. Lambert, daughter of Nancy Sinatra, and granddaughter of legendary crooner (and valley favorite) Frank Sinatra, will be singing songs from one of Sinatra’s greatest albums, In The Wee Small Hours. The performance is a first for Lambert, who has never dedicated an entire show to channeling songs by her grandfather. This show, she says, is a sort of a personal tribute, celebrating her grandfather’s music, but also allowing her to share many of her personal memories of her grandfather.
The musical family theme continues at Michael Holmes’ Purple Room on Saturday night, May 13th, when musical dynamo Angela Teak goes “Steppin’ Out With Momma.” This is not a show you’ll want to miss. Teak’s vocal talent is as amazing as it was when she won Star Search, and later appeared on Broadway. Add to that, the fact that her “momma” is legendary international Jazz recording artist Spanky Wilson, and you can count on a night of considerable and complimentary vocal entertainment – from show tunes to jazz standards – and just about everything in between!
On Sunday, May 14th, the weekend of Mother’s Day entertainment continues with a special Mother’s Day edition of the hysterical smash hit, The Judy Show, a parody of the 1963 Judy Garland Show, starring Michael Holmes. Join Judy and her friends – Pearl Bailey, Bette Davis, Carol Channing – and more, as they take the audience (and all the moms out there) on one of the most entertaining evenings of their lives!
