The 3rd Annual Taste of Jalisco, presented by Sunniva, Inc., celebrates the sister city relationship between the cities of Cathedral City, California (USA) and Tequila, Jalisco (Mexico) through music, fashion, spirits, culture and cuisine.  It is a time to recognize the strength in our diversity, appreciate our similarities, and expand our diplomatic commitment to improving the lives of both cities’ residents.  The festival takes place on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Festival Lawn in Downtown Cathedral City, located at 68600 East Palm Canyon Drive (HWY 111).  Highlights include LIVE entertainment all day with a headline performance by Los Tiranos del Norte and emceed by Sammy Bernal and Ernesto Mota.  The festival also features Mexican inspired cuisine, Tequila Tastings and beer garden, an outdoor market, and a firework finale at 9:00 pm sponsored by Sunniva, Inc.

The festival kicks-off at 11:00 am with a ballet folklorico dance group followed by an Aztec dance group dressed in their native and ceremonial attire.  Children will have the time of their lives playing in the free Kid Zone with multiple bouncy houses and a chance to win a free bike every hour until 5 pm. 

Musical bands featuring Mariachi Limón De Javier Hernandez and Vanessa “Damita” Martinez begin shortly after the festival opening welcome at noon.  At 1:15, attendees will not want to miss the dancing horse show presented by Show Ecuestre del Rancho Arroyo y su Tamboraso Zacatecano.  
From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the musical line-up includes Zable Norteno, Benjamin Flores con Mariachi, and the MYX.

As the day turns into night, the musical entertainment continues with the performances by Grupo Musical Melodia Versatil, Hindsite, Nacho Bustillos y su Quinto Menguante, and the night’s headline band, Los Tiranos del Norte at 8:00 pm.  For the first time, attendees can reserve a table of eight people for the evening concerts and firework show between 5 pm and 9 pm.  This new feature allows you to dance, shop, eat, and converse without the worry of losing your seat.  Tables can be purchased atwww.TasteOfJalisco.com.
Enjoying a wide variety of Mexican inspired cuisine will be a big focus at Taste of Jalisco.  Attendees can select delicious dishes from El Portal Mexican Restaurant, Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant, A Liberty Catering, VIP Catering, Cathedral City’s new Bubba’s Bones and Brews Restaurant, and the crowd favorite Cousin’s Maine Lobster Food Truck featuring lobster tacos and lobster quesadillas.  And for dessert, a great selection of ice cream from La Michoacana Ice Cream Parlor.  You will also have an opportunity to taste the most famous alcohol beverage from the State of Jalisco – Tequila. 
Families will want to gather at 9:00 pm for the spectacular Taste of Jalisco Fireworks Show presented by Sunniva, Inc.  The night sky in Downtown Cathedral City will light up with the dazzling array of pyrotechnics orchestrated by Garden State Fireworks, known for their shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
