Palm Springs Pride is kicking off its 40th anniversary with a powerful call to action, and this year Gay Desert Guide readers have even more reason to show up: a KGAY 103.1 team will be marching right alongside the community. The Pride Equality Walk on Saturday, October 17, 2026, transforms downtown Palm Springs into a moving festival of advocacy, music, and unity. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Arenas District, the walk blends rally‑style energy with celebration—live performances from the Desert Winds Freedom Band, A Cabbello, and the Flaggers of the Desert; cooling and dancing zones along the route; and a post‑walk block party filled with food, drinks, DJs, and community connection. Every step supports Greater Palm Springs Pride’s mission to keep the November Pride Festival and Parade 100% free for all. With KGAY joining the march, the morning promises even more spirit, visibility, and Pride‑powered joy.
