As voters prepare for the November 3, 2026, general election, the Human Rights Campaign Political Action Committee has released its list of endorsed candidates across the country.

“This election cycle matters enormously for our community,” HRC stated. HRC PAC has endorsed pro-equality candidates across the country who are ready to defend LGBTQ+ people, protect our rights, and help return the U.S. House to a pro-equality majority. HRC has made clear that these races are central to stopping continued attacks on our community and changing the balance of power in Congress.

Among HRC PAC’s endorsements is Marni Von Wilpert, a San Diego City Council member and member of the LGBTQ+ community who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 48th Congressional District. Von Wilpert will face San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond in the November general election.

HRC PAC announced its endorsement of von Wilpert in July.

Voters can review HRC’s endorsements and learn more about the candidates through the organization’s 2026 candidate information page.

These races will be won by people showing up, volunteering, voting, and giving what they can.

Please give generously. If you are looking for a race where your support can have a direct local impact, put Marni von Wilpert high on your list.

Residents are encouraged to research candidates, review official election information and make an informed decision before voting.
