Sanctuary Palm Springs, the transitional housing program for LGBTQ foster youth and their allies, is pleased to announce the return of their popular ‘Holiday Socks’ event at the Bougainvillea Room at Spencer’s Restaurant on Sunday, December 2 from 5 to 7 pm.

The $75 ticket price includes cocktails, lavish hors d'oeuvres, a not-so-silent auction co-hosted by the effervescent Dottie and Maude of Las Dames du Soleil, plus a special performance by Von Smith. He is a singer, songwriter, and actor recently featured on Billboard.com and TimeMagazine.com. As a solo artist Von has toured the world, opened for Lady Gaga, and been viewed more than 40 million times in his videos with YouTube phenom group Postmodern Jukebox.

Sanctuary Executive Director Rob Woronoff says “Spencer's Bougainvillea Room is the perfect setting for a warm and convivial holiday cocktail party!  Please join us and get your holiday groove on in support of Sanctuary Palm Springs.”

Tickets are available at sanctuarypalmsprings.org or by phone at 760-766-3500.  Spencer’s Restaurant is located at 701 W. Baristo Road in Palm Springs.

Sanctuary Palm Springs serves LGBTQ youth, ages 18-21, who are preparing to leave foster care by providing  a family home environment,  a place of safety and stability, and valuable life skills. In the words of one of our recent residents, “Sanctuary helped me find myself. That is the greatest dream that one can hope for.”
