Sunday (June 13, 2021) at the V Wine Lounge brought the sold-out third installment of Ross Matthews’ Dragtastic Bubbly Brunch in downtown Palm Springs. Bossy Rossy himself was in the house, pressing the flesh and pouring champagne. He brought together a fabulous ensemble of RuPaul’s Drag Race and All Stars alumna to entertain the crowd.

Emcee Morgan McMichaels introduced Mariah Paris Balenciaga, who slayed in gold; Delta Work in red and silver sequence followed by some Julie Andrews realness; Kimora Blac in sultry blac leather and chopsticks; and Dida Ritz, who reprised her legendary season 4 “This Will Be” lip-sync for your life in front of Natalie Cole! (I’m still shooketh.) At intermission, a raffle drawing was held for the Palm Springs Animal Shelter and a fine fellow named Bill adopted a sweet six-year old rescue dog. Spotted in the audience were Ru fan favorite Monique Heart (brown cow, STUNNING) and the legendary Heklina and her guest, dismissed as legs and dairy by Morgan so I missed her name (but she’s legendary adjacent).
