Kicking off its 10th Season on the heels of a record-breaking 2016-17 season, Dezart Performs was honored with seven awards from the Desert Theatre League at its Annual Desert Star Awards which were held on Sunday, October 8th at Sun City Palm Desert.
“We are enormously grateful to the Desert Theatre League for these seven awards,” stated Michael Shaw, Artistic Director for Dezart Performs. “As this is our 10th Anniversary, it’s particularly meaningful for us to be recognized with so many awards this year from our peers.”
Dezart Performs received 27 nominations in 18 categories including: Outstanding Comedy, Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Director, Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Actress & Outstanding Sound Design, and Outstanding Production for all three main stage shows from their past season.

Outstanding Lead Actress – Comedy: Theresa Jewett, CLYBOURNE PARK
