After 27 years of dedicated service, Palm Springs Chief of Police Bryan Reyes has officially retired — and the City of Palm Springs and our Chamber of Commerce would like to give our residents and businesses an opportunity to say goodbye and pay tribute to one of our City’s most beloved public officials, by signing a very special “Thank You” card!
Beginning Monday, Aug. 23 through Friday, Sept. 3, a huge 6′ by 4′ “Thank You” card will be placed in front of Chamber headquarters, 190 W. Amado Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday in downtown Palm Springs.
The card will be presented to Reyes during a special tribute and proclamation ceremony at the beginning of the Sept. 9 City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. Residents can watch the meeting live on Palm Springs Community Television Channel 17, online at — or on YouTube.
“Bryan Reyes has shown extraordinary leadership overseeing the men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department,” said Mayor Christy Holstege. “His dedication to ensuring the safety of our community and incredible ability to engage with residents and businesses has been truly remarkable — and that is why we have created this special opportunity for our Palm Springs community to say thank you. Chief Reyes will be greatly missed.”
“Over his 27 years with the Palm Springs Police Department, Bryan Reyes has been an incredible leader — and as Chief of Police a wonderful asset and friend to our local businesses,” said Nona Watson, CEO of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce. “Everyone is invited to visit the Chamber and sign the thank you card for Bryan Reyes, an extraordinary Chief of Police, who truly served our community like no one else.”
