Acqua and Lulu California Bistros announced today their participation in the annual Dining Out For Life ® event in support of Desert AIDS Project.  This year’s event will be held in the Coachella Valley on Thursday, April 26, and marks Lulu’s seventh year of participation and a first for Acqua at The River in Rancho Mirage.  Both restaurants will be making a contribution of 50% of sales.

Because of your love and kindness, Lulu learned that in 2017, we made the largest contribution by any restaurant to any AIDS organization, anywhere in North America. With Acqua opened, we're aiming even higher this year.

“Dining Out For Life ® is a terrific event that involves the entire community,” says Acqua and Lulu creator Jerry Keller. “Whether you come in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even happy hour at Acqua and Lulu on April 26, you’re helping to support Desert AIDS Project, which provides assistance to so many people right here in the valley.  Barbara and I are pleased to continue our support of Dining Out For Life ® and this year our new Acqua will be joining in the event.”

Desert AIDS Project raised over $230,000 during the 2017 Dining Out For Life ® event featuring 70 local restaurants who donated a percentage of the day’s gross sales of food and beverages. Because of the generosity of the community, Greater Palm Springs has ranked third in overall fundraising among the 52 participating cities across the United States – raising more funds than cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, and Phoenix.
