Dezart Performs is bringing Tony Award-winner and Emmy-nominated Hal Linden and Tony Award-winning actor Gary Beach to an already stellar cast of celebrity performers in the 5th edition of ON THE AIR! AN EVENING OF LIVE RADIO SHOW CLASSICS on March 8 at the Camelot Theatres at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

This one-night-only benefit transports the audience back to the Golden Age of radio, complete with a cast of celebrity performers, live on-stage music and sound effects. Each year is a completely new production, and this year features three radio classics: “The Lone Ranger,” the story of how he met Tonto and found his horse, Silver; “Richard Diamond, Private Detective” where the wise-cracking detective starts out exposing a bogus séance scheme and ends up solving a wealthy matron’s murder; and “My Favorite Husband,” the hysterical episode where Liz plays matchmaker, trying to pair up her friend with George’s client, but the client mistakenly thinks Liz wants him for herself (this radio show which starred Lucille Ball later became the television hit “I Love Lucy”).

ON THE AIR! benefits Dezart Performs, the award-winning, local non-profit theatre arts organization. An exclusive meet-and-greet VIP Reception with the performers will follow the show.
