Today, Alaska Airlines launched new year-round nonstop service to San Jose and seasonal service to Austin, Texas from Palm Springs International Airport. With the

addition of service to San Jose and Austin, Alaska now offers nonstop flights to seven cities from Palm Springs, including Seattle, Everett, Portland, Boise, and San Francisco.

“We take pride in being the largest airline at Palm Springs. We remain committed to serving the Coachella Valley with amazing service including our new flights from Palm Springs to San Jose and Austin,” said Brett Catlin, vice president of network and alliances at Alaska Airlines. “We’re eager to keep growing at PSP and excited to take our guests to terrific destinations across the West and beyond.”

Both new routes will be operated on an Embraer 175 aircraft outfitted with 12 First Class seats, each with a power outlet, 12 Premium Class seats, and 52 Coach seats. Inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi are also available on these planes.

“With the start of year-round service to San Jose, Palm Springs is now just a short nonstop flight away to all three Bay Area airports,” said Harry Barrett, Assistant Executive Director of Aviation. “And, the new seasonal service to Austin is connecting us to another of our top unserved markets. Austin and San Jose have long been on our wish list, and we’re thankful to Alaska for connecting us to these two markets.”
