Voting is now under way for the nation’s Best Zoo Lights in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. The public is encouraged to cast their vote for WildLights, which continues its 29th year at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens select nights through December 30th.

The Living Desert is one of 20 zoos from across the country to be nominated in the contest, which runs through Monday, December 6th at www.10best.com. WildLights features more than a million colorful, twinkling lights and has been recognized by USA TODAY as Reader’s Choice Best Zoo Lights three years in a row.

WildLights attractions include a herd of life-size, luminescent animal lanterns, the always-popular tunnel of lights flashing to holiday music, and more than 3,300 feet of G-scale model train track. A photo opportunity with Santa rounds out the festivities, plus carousel rides, live music, and tasty food and beverages available for purchase.

Presented by the H.N and Frances C. Berger Foundation, WildLights takes place December 3-4, 10-11, 17-24, 26-30 from 6 to 9 p.m. with last entry at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults; $14 for members, military (with ID); $12 for children ages 3-12 and free for those under 3. Advanced reservations are required at LivingDesert.org.
