Voting season continues. The public is invited to cast their vote and help The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens make USA TODAY’S 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award for Best Zoo Lights for the second year in a row.
The contest allows for the public to vote once a day through Monday, December 7 at www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-zoo-lights-2020/. According to the 10Best website, zoos across the U.S. get into the holiday spirit with festive seasonal displays and The Living Desert was one of 20 zoos nominated in this category.
“It’s always an honor to be nominated, but we would love to beat last year’s placement at number five on the list,” said Erin Scott, Senior Marketing and Public Relations Manager at The Living Desert. “We encourage everyone to show their support of The Living Desert, vote for WildLights, and make plans to attend this year’s event.”
WildLights, presented by the H.N and Frances C. Berger Foundation, takes place November 25, 27-28; and December 4-5, 11-12, 18-24, 26-27. Event hours are 6 – 9 p.m. with last entry at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $14 per person; $12 for members, military (with ID); $10 for children ages 3-12 and free for those under 3. Advanced reservations are required at LivingDesert.org.
