Uber ride-sharing service will be allowed to begin pick up directly from Palm
Springs International Airport, beginning Monday, March 19.

The City Council unanimously approved a new ordinance allowing ride-sharing services at the Airport in January. The City is still awaiting a final permit application from Lyft. UPDATE: Lyft’s permit to operate at the Airport was finalized by the City of Palm Springs the afternoon of March 19.

“The City Council recognizes visitors have a desire to use ride-sharing services at Palm Springs International Airport,” said City Manager David H. Ready. “Tourism is important for the City and we want to ensure everyone has an easy and enjoyable experience at the Airport.”
