Script2Stage2Screen presents a new original play, “A Very Holly Moosemas” written by Jean Ciampi of Woodlands, Texas.  Jean’s “The Bold and Bob” from S2S2S’ 2022-23 season received 5 Desert Theatre League nominations, including an Outstanding Supporting Actor Star Award for Ron Coronado.

Brent Anderson brings his directorial expertise to S2S2S once again with this production and has assembled a very talented cast featuring Don Cilluffo, Laura Martinez-Urrea, Renee Poignard, Alex Price, Jesus Sandoval and Alexana Thomas. “Can a Bear, a scotch-drinking nun, and a case of salmonella overcome a curmudgeon and a Scrooge-ish boss to create Christmas magic in Atlanta in August? Holly Anderson thinks it can — but is she right?  Joy isn’t where you find it but where you create it.”

Script2Stage2Screen is the performing arts project of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Desert (UUCOD), 72425 Via Vail in Rancho Mirage. All staged readings take place at UUCOD at 7:30 p.m.

Playwright’s Bio:
Jean Ciampi is a playwright, columnist, Dramatists Guild of America member, passport holder, scuba diver, actress, baseball fan, director, Texan, humorist, dog lover and cilantro hater. She is a member of the 2022 Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive and would like to play roller derby. Her first play, Potato Gumbo, written in Saudi Arabia, won a Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence but did not win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. She still has sour grapes with Hamilton about that. Her short comedy, Genie-ology will be part of Toronto’s 2023 New Works Festival and her 10-minute play Devil in the Details was a winner in the 2022 ARTfactory 10×10 Original Play Festival.
