The weather may be cooling down but the stage at the Purple Room is heating up as Tony and Grammy Award-Winner John Lloyd Young takes a turn on the Great Purple Way debuting his latest concert, “Introducing: John Lloyd Young.” Adding to this month’s star power, Tony Award-Nominated singer and actress Andrea McArdle will perform at The Purple Room, the desert’s premiere supper club.

The Purple Room is celebrating its fifth anniversary in October with Happy Hour at the bar all night on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each night features free live entertainment from 6:30 – 9:30 PM.

The Purple Room’s owner, Michael Holmes, will continue his high-octane weekly performance of The Judy Show!, featuring Joel Baker. Every Sunday evening in October, catch the searing magic of song and laughter as Holmes parodies Judy Garland’s classic 1960s television show. Holmes is a local gem who shines like…Ruby slippers, and brings poignancy and boldness to the legendary Miss Garland.

The blazing entertainment continues throughout October as special guests perform on Friday and Saturday nights, with a roster that includes: critically acclaimed singer Jonathan Karrant celebrating his new album release; world-renowned Elvis tribute artist Scot Bruce in “Elvis: The Early Years;” and “Palm Springs – Jump!” a classic Palm Spring entertainment musical revue.

The Purple Room, located at 1900 E Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, California 92264, opens every day at 4:00pm, with Happy Hour in the bar and lounge every Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and on Sunday, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Dinner and free entertainment can be enjoyed every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night (no cover). Ticketed shows on Friday and Saturday night begin with dinner reservations at 6:00 pm and performances at 8:00 pm. For The Judy Show on Sundays, dinner reservations are at 5:00 pm and the show begins at 7:00pm. Details and ticket information can be found at

“October 2018 is one for the record books. The raw talent of the performers will be phenomenal, and the energy they create will be palpable,” said Michael Holmes, owner of The Purple Room. “If you have never encountered Andrea McArdle, Jonathan Lloyd Young or Jimmy James, prepare yourself to experience several definite desert nights of entertainment. And if you have, we know why you’ll be joining us at The Purple Room.”
