PS Test, Riverside County’s first nonprofit clinic offering 100% free STI testing and treatment, is open for business with shortened summer hours. The clinic, founded by Dr. Phyllis Ritchie, remains committed to providing accessible and judgment-free healthcare services to everyone in the community.
County grant funding ended, which has been essential to the clinic’s operations. This funding reduction poses a significant challenge to the clinic’s ability to maintain its services at full capacity. While they apply for new grants, PS Test is calling on the community for support.
“Now more than ever, the public must address health issues in ways that are sensitive and de-stigmatize STI treatment,” said Dr. Ritchie. “Community support is crucial to keeping the clinic’s doors open and ensuring that everyone in the community has access to the healthcare they need.”
Summer Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
These new hours will allow the clinic to continue serving the community while adjusting to the reduced funding. PS Test remains dedicated to its mission of providing essential healthcare services, especially for those who are homeless, lack transportation, do not have insurance, or have experienced trauma related to medical institutions.

About PS Test
PS Test is Riverside County’s first nonprofit clinic that offers 100% free STI testing and treatment. The clinic’s mission is to provide accessible and judgment-free services to everyone. CEO Dr. Phyllis Ritchie, who has been working and living in Palm Springs, California for the past decade, founded PS Test after witnessing an overwhelming number of STI cases and new HIV infections in the area. Distressed by the lack of completely free STI clinics in Riverside County, Dr. Ritchie is committed to fulfilling this much-needed resource and reversing the increasing trend of STIs in the region.
Many of the clinic’s clients face significant barriers to accessing healthcare, including homelessness, lack of transportation, and previous trauma associated with medical institutions. PS Test strives to address these public health issues in a way that is sensitive and de-stigmatizes treatment.
