The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation is preparing to celebrate a milestone year for one of the region’s most beloved literary events. The Fifth Annual Pride on the Page Book Festival returns Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center — and for the first time, the entire festival, including the evening reception, will be completely FREE. What began in 2022 as a small but mighty gathering of LGBTQ+ authors and readers has grown into a cornerstone cultural event, honoring queer storytelling, memoir, identity, and the power of shared narratives. This year’s theme, “Five Years of Pride on the Page: Our Lives, Our Words, Our Stories,” celebrates the voices that shape LGBTQ+ literature and the personal histories that define our community.
The festival continues its tradition of spotlighting nationally recognized authors, emerging writers, publishers, and community organizations. As the release notes, “This festival is about creating a welcoming space where people can discover great books, hear remarkable stories and connect through conversations.” Attendees can expect a full day of author talks, book signings, outdoor vendor tents, and special anniversary programming — plus free books for audience members at select presentations.

- Featured Authors — Murray Hill (Showbiz!), Phill Branch (The Double Dutch Fuss), Sandra Butler (Now What?) in conversation with Daniel Jaffe (Russian Silhouette), with more authors and moderators to be announced.
- Author Conversations — Engaging discussions with LGBTQ+ writers, memoirists, and storytellers exploring identity, activism, aging, humor, and lived experience.
- Book Signings — Meet authors throughout the day and during the evening celebration.
- Outdoor Festival Tent — Local authors, indie publishers, vendors, and nonprofits create a lively marketplace of queer literature and community resources.
- Free Books — A limited number of books from featured authors will be given to attendees at each presentation.
- Evening Reception — Special guests, author meet‑and‑greets, and anniversary festivities at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
- Community Partnerships — Supported by the City of Palm Springs, Palm Springs Cultural Center, Best Bookstore in Palm Springs, Saguaro Hotel, LGBTQ Center of the Desert, Stacked Deck Press, Rattling Good Yarns, Sibling Rivalry Press, and more.
- Event Registration — Eventbrite registration will open soon, with additional authors and full schedule updates released in the coming months.
