Palm Springs Art Museum has teamed up with Palm Springs International Film Society to present Summer Film Series: A Passion for Fashion at the Annenberg Theater on select Thursdays through September. The Museum also announced the return of Free Admission Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m. through August 30, 2018.
A specialty cocktail, created for each movie, along with beer and wine will be available at Persimmon Bistro and the outdoor garden. The cocktails will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the films starting at 6 p.m. Admission is free and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Films are subject to change. “Our three museum locations will stay open all summer for the community to enjoy, and we’re thrilled about the return of Free Summer Thursdays at both the main campus and Architecture and Design Center,” said Elizabeth Armstrong, Palm Springs Art Museum’s JoAnn McGrath Executive Director. “We invite everyone to come see the free film series in the Annenberg Theater and to take advantage of our regularly scheduled free Second Sunday events.”
For the summer, Palm Springs Art Museum and the Architecture and Design Center are open Friday through Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., closed Wednesdays and major holidays. Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden is open at all times.
