Discover something new to do in Palm Desert the first weekend of every month with the many events that make up Palm Desert First Weekend, including classic cars, jazz, art, music, and more.  To kick off the Spring Season on April 6-8, head to the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert for our first Featured Event and celebrate Earth Day, on Saturday, April 7 from 11 am to 3 pm.  This year marks the 48th anniversary of this nationally acknowledged day of honoring the Earth, promoting peace and working to live in harmony with the world around us.  Earth Day at the Museum is a free event and includes art activities, demonstrations, live music, garden tours and a visit from the Wildlife on Wheels team from The Living Desert.

The second Featured Event also happens on Saturday, April 7, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, as The Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Gardens presents Brew at the Zoo. Buy your ticket today and plan to celebrate National Beer Day at the zoo and enjoy craft brews, premium wine and beverages, plus a culinary adventure of tasty dishes and desserts. Dance the night away at three live music areas and experience close and personal encounters with a few of the zoo residents. Tickets range from $45-$150 and can be purchased online.
