In 1993, a meteor shower occurs in the city of Ojai, California. To celebrate the occasion, husband and wife Norm and Corky decided to invite another married couple, Gerald and Laura, over for a dinner party. The night quickly turns and hilarity ensues in this comedy written by actor and comedian Steve Martin. Don’t miss this entertaining play that is coming to the Palm Canyon Theatre for one weekend only this month.

Meteor Shower first premiered on Broadway in November 2017. It starred several well-known actors, including Amy Schumer as Corky (who received a Tony Award nomination for her performance) and Keegan-Michael Key as Gerald. Audiences and critics alike enjoyed the show’s rib-tickling humor and wonderful comedic timing by all of the actors.

Palm Canyon Theatre’s production of Meteor Shower features Ashley Davies as Corky and Samuel David as Norm. Rob Hubler and Tiffani LoBue play the guests of the evening, Gerald and Laura. This comedy is directed by Richard Marlow. Derik Shopinski is the costume designer; set and lighting design is created by JW Layne.

Meteor Shower runs for only four performances, May 30-June 2. Show times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $29.50. Student tickets are available for $15 with a valid ID.
