The Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs, ONE-PS, representing the 49 organized neighborhoods in the City of Palm Springs has conducted a series of candidate forums for the November 3rd election highlighting local races. Separate forums for Palm Springs City Council-Districts 4 and 5; Palm Springs Unified School District Board of Trustees-Area 2 and the Desert Water Agency Board of Directors-Division 5 were conducted over the past week.

These forums were recorded online with questions developed through input from the ONE-PS membership and are now posted for viewing and downloading on the ONE-PS website at www.ONE-PS.org.

Kathy Cohn, ONE-PS Chairperson and moderator for the forums indicated that, โ€œONE-PS has a long history of conducting candidate forums in an effort to inform our members and the voters of the City about the important issues and the candidatesโ€. The forums provide the viewer with an overview of each candidateโ€™s positions on issues and responses to key questions. The City of Palm Springs Council race in District 4 has three candidates vying for the position and is of particular interest to the voters.

โ€œWe are asking our neighborhoods and interested voters to share this important information from our websiteโ€, says Bob Farran, Chair of the Candidate Forum Committee, โ€œThis is our best opportunity to receive this important information during these difficult timesโ€. The forums will be online through election day. In addition to the forums, the ONE-PS.org website also contains information about the many activities of the unique neighborhoods within the City.
