The Desert Business Association, the LGBTQ Chamber of the Coachella Valley, is proud to partner with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and Grubhub on the NGLCC/Grubhub Community Impact Grant Program.

This program provides a financial lifeline to those impacted by COVID-19 with grants expected to range from $5,000 to $100,000. We have come together to provide vital assistance for LGBTQ+ owned and allied restaurants, cafes, bars serving food, and other eating establishments.

To be eligible for the Community Impact Grant, applicants must:

1. Be an LGBTQ+-owned or LGBTQ+ ally-owned restaurant, cafe or bar that serves food.

2. Demonstrate loss of business due to COVID-19. This information will not be shared beyond the judging panel and will only be used for eligibility purposes.
3. Provide proof that you are an LGBTQ+-owned or allied establishment.

To apply, go to nglcc.org/ghgrant

Applications must be submitted by 11:59PM PT on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

“We often say at NGLCC that ‘If you can buy it, an LGBTQ+-owned business can supply it.’ That is especially true of the LGBTQ+-owned restaurants across America who kept our communities and first responders fed throughout the pandemic. We’re proud to partner with Grubhub in offering these grants to support these businesses throughout the nation. America’s 1.4 million LGBTQ+-owned business owners have shown incredible resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, in turn, we can help them recover stronger than ever.”

-NGLCC Co-Founder and President Justin Nelson

“This is another way that the Desert Business Association can help our small and diverse businesses in the Coachella Valley. Our area was hit quite hard with the suspension and cancellation of events, and loss of visitors this past 18 months. Hopefully, this will help make a difference for some of those businesses who were impacted.

“We are one of over 30 NGLCC Affiliate Chambers across America helping to amplify this grant opportunity to support LGBTQ and allied restaurants across the country. Together we will award over $1.5 million dollars in grants ranging from $5,000 up to $100,000.
