Modernism Week – October returns to Palm Springs Thursday–Sunday, October 16–19, offering more than 50 events that celebrate midcentury and contemporary design, architecture, fashion, and culture. This four-day festival invites design enthusiasts to explore the city’s rich heritage through guided tours, exhibitions, immersive experiences, and lively social gatherings.
One of the standout attractions is the Modernism Week Featured Home Tour: Sackley Chase Sensation, available Thursday–Sunday, October 16–19. This 1976 residence by Stan Sackley, with interiors by Steve Chase and recent updates by Grace Home Furnishings, showcases Brutalist elegance with Italian travertine floors and sweeping glass walls overlooking Indian Canyons Golf Resort.
The Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show Preview Party takes place Friday, October 17, offering early shopping access, a wine reception, and weekend re-entry to the show.
On Saturday, October 18, ONE-PS presents a Historic Walking Tour of Downtown Palm Springs, guiding guests through architectural landmarks like the Plaza Theatre and American Legion Post 519, designed by Albert Frey and John Porter Clark.
Also on Saturday, October 18, Casual Concours’s Coupe du Jour showcases over 170 museum-quality post-war coupes at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
