We never thought we’d see Mizell Center and Fashion Week El Paseo in the same sentence, much less in the same room, but on Friday, March 17, that all changes.
Mizell Center is the beneficiary of proceeds from the Opening Night (I know…Opening Night!) of Fashion Week 2023. And, we want you there with us for all of the excitement!
It all takes place at the Fashion Week Tents at the Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert. The evening kicks off at 7:00 with a gala Cocktail Reception. Mizell will have a presence at the reception so we can talk about all the great stuff we do (our favorite subject) and we’ll be joined by renowned local artist and designer, Debra Hovel. Debra has been a “maker” her entire life. She is presently exploring bronze and sterling silver jewelry and still designing and making shoes, sandals and fashion made from fragments of hand woven and embroidered textiles from around the world. As she likes to say, she creates heroic treasures for confident people. Her jewelry “treasures” will be for sale in our booth and she’s generously agreed to donate a portion of each sale to Mizell. All the more reason to treat yourself.
The dazzling runway show begins at 8:00 and will feature the designs of Nikki Yassemi Wirthensohn for her luxury womenswear line, NARCES. Nikki creates luxury evening, cocktail and bridal designs inspired by the romantic glamour and elegance of the mid 20th century with a distinctive modern twist.
That’s Friday, March 17, tickets are $95 and if you buy your tickets through Mizell, we get to retain 50% of the ticket price. So, you get to go and give at the same time.
