The Loud & Proud Sunset Music & Comedy Festival returns to Palm Springs Thursday–Sunday, November 6–9, for a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, artistry, and community. As an official Palm Springs Pride event, the festival blends world-class performances with unapologetic joy, hosted by the incomparable Sweet Baby J’ai.
Thursday, November 6 – Roberta Flack: A Soulful Homecoming (7–8:30 pm) Held at the Cascade Lounge inside Agua Caliente Casino, this intimate tribute honors Roberta Flack’s legacy with stirring performances by Sandy Adams, Amber Flame, Laurie Morvan, and comedian Mimi Gonzalez. Expect a night of reverence, reinvention, and raw emotion.
Friday, November 7 – Two Roads: From Roots to Broadway (7–9 pm) At the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Tony-nominated jazz icon Ann Hampton Callaway joins GRAMMY-nominated Americana artist Amythyst Kiah and fearless comic Jason Stuart. Together, they deliver a genre-spanning evening of music and laughter.
Saturday, November 8 – The Revival: Soul & Power (7–9 pm) Also at the Cultural Center, Saturday’s lineup features soul-jazz sensation Lady Blackbird, Southern comedy legend Vickie Shaw, and activist-musician Holly Near, who will receive the Sunset Legacy of Inspiration Award and perform a tribute to womyn’s music.
Sunday, November 9 – The Goddess Groove March (10 am) Led by Holly Near, the Palm Springs Pride Parade steps off from Tachevah and Palm Canyon Drive, pulsing with rhythm, glitter, and goddess energy. This joyful march celebrates feminine power and queer visibility with unapologetic flair.
Produced by the nonprofit Sunset Music & Education Foundation, the festival also supports the Sunset Music SMARTS Initiative, providing instruments and education to underserved youth in the Coachella Valley.
