NO NEED FOR A ROSE CEREMONY TO ‘SCORE’ ONE OF THESE BACHELORS
Any single person will tell you that finding the perfect date is nearly impossible these days. Luckily, the PS Retros — everyone’s favorite local LGBTQ softball team — is making it easy. They’ll be hosting a Bachelor Auction Fundraiser at Chill Bar on Arenas Road on Saturday, May 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funds raised will help cover the team’s travel expenses as they represent Palm Springs in tournaments around the country.
Hosted by local radio star Bill Feingold, who can be heard weekday mornings with co-host Kevin on K-NEWS 94.3, the evening will feature some of the most talented, attractive, charismatic, and just plain fun local softball players to bid on. In addition, there will be several celebrity guest bachelors, including writer-director Del Shores (“Sordid Lives,” “Southern Baptist Sissies,” “A Very Sordid Wedding”) and Chef Andre Carthen, aka “the Fit Chef.” And for those in the mood for a double date, singer-songwriter/actor Charlie Harding and fashion designer/actor/ stylist Scotty Rage, who will be auctioned off together.
Each bachelor come with a dinner for two from one of our top local restaurants along with tickets to fun, local activities or shows like Oscar’s Cabaret, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Red Jeep Tours, The Judy Show and more!
“We wanted to create something unique to raise awareness for the Palm Springs Gay Softball League, gather support for the PS Retros and have a blast doing it,” says Dennis Wodzisz, manager of the PS Retros. “We have plenty more surprises in store — this is an event you do not want to miss!”
If you’re not quite ready to date, there will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction featuring packages from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, Cinema Diverse, Del Shores and more.
