The L-Fund is  looking for Lesbians or Trans Lesbians to join their board  and help them continue to grow the L-Fund. 

These are just a few things that they have been working on this year:

  • Created and built a proactive Outreach Committee to focus on our areas of coverage – Coachella, Moreno, Yucca and Morongo Valleys, Joshua Tree and Twenty-Nine Palms, to ensure we are connecting with those that can be helped by our Lesbian in Need and LEAP: L-Fund Education Assistance Program. 
  • Given out more monies this year in Education Grants and Financial Crisis Assistance – more than any year since our inception – in 2012.
  • Created strong partnerships and have expanded our Sponsorship Network, including with our Platinum Sponsor – Eisenhower Health. We will partnering on “Health Talks” on health subjects that are important to women.
  • Brought our 2020 Gala “A night of celebration – Honoring Trailblazers” January 25, 2020, back to Palm Springs (get your tickets 🙂 early bird ticket prices end Nov 3rd – www.l-fund.org). Have recently received Sponsorship from the City of Palm Springs.
  • Worked closely with the wonderful Western Wind Foundation in establishing a matching grant for Outreach and for Program Support. 
  • Had a successful 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Mission Hills, LPGA Dinah Shore Course.
  • Received the Marsha P. Johnson Ally Award for the financial assistance we have given to Trans Lesbians in Need
