Kataluna Enriquez

Greater Palm Springs Pride has announced that model, fashion designer, and advocate Kataluna Enriquez will serve as the Marsha P. Johnson Grand Marshal for the 40th Anniversary Palm Springs Pride celebration. The title honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to trans visibility and equality, reflecting the legacy of Marsha P. Johnson, the pioneering activist whose work helped ignite the Stonewall Uprising.

Enriquez joins a distinguished slate of 2026 honorees, including National Grand Marshal Fortune Feimster, Celebrity Grand Marshal Cheyenne Jackson, Community Grand Marshal Gary Moline, and Pride Royalty for Life Marshall Pearcy (Dottie DuBois). Together, they will lead the annual Pride Parade through downtown Palm Springs this November.

A Filipino American model and owner of KatalunaKouture, Enriquez has built a multifaceted career as a brand ambassador, mentalโ€‘health advocate, genderโ€‘equality champion, and designer. Her work has appeared in campaigns for Andrew Fitzsimons Hair, Ulta, MGM Grand, The Venetian, and more, with media coverage spanning People Magazine, E! News, Good Morning America, NBC, TMZ, and Business Insider.

Her pageant accomplishments are historic: in 2021, she became the first trans woman to win Miss Nevada USA and the first trans woman to compete in the Miss USA pageant. She later represented the United States at the 2024 Miss International Queen competition in Thailand, placing in the Top 6 and earning multiple awards.

Enriquezโ€™s advocacy is deeply rooted in personal experience. As a survivor of abuse, she uses her platform to raise awareness around mental health, combat hate, and uplift LGBTQ+ youth. Her volunteer work includes supporting trans individuals in Southern California, assisting with business operations, and helping coordinate care for community members in Riverside. Locally, she also performs occasionally at venues such as Oneโ€‘Eleven Bar, Flip Phone events at Toucans, Southern California Improv, and Las Vegas nightlife staples Gipsy and Piranha Nightclub.

โ€œMarsha P. Johnson paved the path for trans visibility, resilience, and liberation,โ€ said Ron deHarte, President and CEO of Greater Palm Springs Pride. โ€œKataluna Enriquez embodies that same transformative courage, using her global platform and community volunteerism to empower trans youth and uplift our entire community. We are honored to recognize her leadership alongside our incredible slate of 2026 Grand Marshals.โ€

The Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade and Festival returns November 6โ€“8, 2026, bringing together residents, visitors, and advocates for a weekend celebrating diversity, equality, and community resilience. More information is available at www.pspride.org.
