Airplane! Interactive Movie with Among Friends

Among Friends presents Airplane! Interactive on Wednesday, August 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center/Camelot Theatre. The Airplane Cocktail Party kicks off the evening at 6:00 p.m.: dress up in your favorite costume from the movie or anything that goes along with the theme. Then at 8:00 p.m. the movie starts with a throw-out of giveaways, and continues with a night of interactive fun. Passion for Fashion Film Series Continues

Join the Palm Springs Art Museum in collaboration with Palm Springs International Film Society for their Summer Film Festival: A Passion for Fashion. It's free, it's fun, and it's all about Fashion. On Thursday, August 16 at 6:00 p.m. they present The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover, an artful masterpiece with clothing design by Jean Paul Gaultier. More info

 

Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus Auditions

Leading into its 20th Season, the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) will be holding open call auditions. The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will hold its semi-annual auditions on Tuesday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. Candidates can attend open rehearsals on Tuesdays, August 14 & 21 at 7:00 p.m. to get a sense of how the chorus is structured and the camaraderie that exists between all of the singers. Sunnylands Tickets on Sale August 15

Sunnylands Center & Gardens reopens to the public mid-September, and historic house tours for that month will become available Wednesday, August 15 at 9 a.m. Tickets for tours of the historic house are $48 per person and are sold online only at sunnylands.org.

Monthly Chill Bar Dance

On Thursday, August 16 from 7:30–10:00 pm., the Palm Springs Chapter of the Golden State Rodeo Association is “Celebrating the Women of Rodeo” along with Chill Bar at the Monthly Chill Bar Dance. This is a fundraiser for the Palm Springs Chapter of Hot Rodeo. More info
