“That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century, delivering rock, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans. With iconography as distinctive as their sound, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards, hotrod cars, spinning guitars and that magic keychain, all of which transcend geography and language.

Formed in Houston at the tail end of 1969, ZZ TOP fused gritty blues roots with sharp rock sensibilities to become one of America's most enduring bands. Their breakout came with Tres Hombres and the hit “La Grange,” but it was 1983’s Eliminator that redefined their sound and image for a new era, thanks to chart-toppers like “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs.” With a 50-year legacy, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, and a Diamond-certified album under their belts, the band—now with Elwood Francis stepping in after Dusty Hill’s passing—continues to live by their mantra: tone, taste, and tenacity.
