Get To Know AI and ChatGPT presented by Dominique Fruchtman / 6:00 pm in the Learning Center

Join us for an engaging presentation and live demo of ChatGPT – an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered computer helper that can simplify your everyday tasks. From creating a packing list for your cruise vacation to drafting that thank-you note you've been putting off, ChatGPT can do more than you imagine!

Dominique Fruchtman, an experienced entrepreneur, and technology enthusiast, has a background in both IT and public speaking. As the former owner of an IT company in Coachella Valley and a Distinguished Toastmaster, Dom has a passion for sharing knowledge. After completing the "AI for Everyone" course from deep learning.ai, Dom is eager to return to the Palm Springs Public Library, where she once served as a computer basics trainer, and she’s excited to present the latest advancements in AI and ChatGPT.

Learn More About Guide Dogs of the Desert / 6:00 pm in the Learning Center

Presented by Lisa Morand, the Volunteer Coordinator, will discuss Guide Dogs of the Desert (GDD) which has been in the desert for over 50 years. You will learn about the amazing work done to breed, raise and train Guide Dogs to help the visually impaired regain confidence, independence, and mobility. Services are provided to the visually impaired at no cost and there are many opportunities for Volunteering and Volunteer Puppy Raising. Hear how you can help and become part of the GDD community and the amazing work that GDD does!
