The community is invited to celebrate World Art Day in the City of Palm Springs
with the dedication of four new public art installations as part of the Art Scape in
the Parks program, recognizing the latest additions to the City's growing
collection of public art. The installations have been recently installed in four
neighborhood parks throughout the City and represent the work of nationally
recognized artists. Each sculpture adds a unique visual experience to the City's
public spaces and reflects Palm Springs' ongoing commitment to arts and culture
in the community.
WHAT: ArtScape in the Parks Dedication Ceremony
WHERE: Front Steps, Palm Springs City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way
WHEN: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 10:00-10:30 a.m.
WHO: Mayor Naomi Soto, City Councilmembers, City leaders, Gary Armstrong:
Palm Springs Public Arts Commission Chair, and Artists: Ben Sinor, Jeff Zischke,
Lyle London, Jack Howard-Potter.
The newly installed works include:
"Shapes and Sizes" by Ben Sinor - Desert Highland Park
"Rover" by Jeff Zischke-
Victoria Park
"Dancer #6" by Lyle London - Gateway Park
"Spegody" by Jack Howard-Potter - Baristo Park
All four artists will attend the ceremony and be recognized during the dedication.,
