3 Days of Gay in Sonoma Wine Country

Out In The Vineyard is pleased to announce the dates for this summer’s Gay Wine Weekend, July 14-16, 2023.

Experience this three-day weekend that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and their love for wine, food, and travel. The weekend features Winemaker Dinners, Winery Tours and a Drag Queen Brunch & Wine Auction along with a pool party to wind down the weekend. The signature event of the weekend is the Twilight T-Dance which this year will be held at the iconic La Crema Winery Estate in the Russian River Valley Region. Los Angeles DJ Ryan Kenney will be spinning  the night away under the stars and moon.

After a decade of the event taking place in the Sonoma Valley Wine Region owner Gary Saperstein is thrilled to be moving Gay Wine Weekend to another part of Sonoma County. “Sonoma County is a large wine region with many different cities & towns. This year the opportunity came up to switch things up and move the event a bit further north” says Saperstein. I get to showcase the beauty of the Russian River Valley/Healdsburg Wine Region along with some of the most iconic Sonoma County wineries, vineyards, and restaurants.

Currently both the Magnum VIP Pass and the VIP Party Passes are on sale. In the coming month the winemaker dinners, wine tours, T-Dance Tickets, Brunch and Pool Party will go on sale.

The host hotel, the Vintner’s Resort is a 72-room hotel located on a vineyard with stunning courtyard gardens and walkways. The resort will be taken over by guests of Gay Wine Weekend. The opening VIP Wine Reception along with the Sunday Drag Queen Brunch & Wine Auction will take place at the host hotel.

The weekend benefits Face to Face, the Sonoma County HIV/AIDS Network. In 2023 Face to Face is recognizing 40 years of service in working with HIV in the county. They will be expanding their prevention and care services with a new EV Mobile Van that will can travel the region reaching those most vulnerable. Over the course of the past decade Gay Wine Weekend has raised $500,000.00 for the organization.
