La Bola Negra

La Bola Negra opens October 30 at Festival Theaters. Winner of the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and Best Director at Cannes, the film stars Guitarricadelafuente and Carlos Gonzáles alongside Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close. Set across three timelines — Republican Spain in 1932, the Civil War in 1937, and contemporary Spain in 2017 — the film follows interconnected lives centered on three young men whose emotional and political echoes gradually reveal themselves. AwardsWatch calls it “the best film of the year”; IndieWire raves it’s “a love story for the ages.”
