Lead singer Dean Colley has been performing in rock bands since leaving the University of Southern California in 1982. Over years of touring, audiences noticed his striking resemblance to Neil Diamond - and in 1996 he debuted his tribute at a local Kiwanis club community concert, launching the show now known as "Hot August Night," named after Diamond's iconic 1972 live album recorded at the Greek Theatre.
