For immediate release Discover Riverside County’s Hidden Gardens on April 25 Riverside County, CA – On Sunday, April 25, the Garden Conservancy's Open Days program offers a one-day-only opportunity for garden enthusiasts to explore four gardens around California. This rare chance provides a look into the personality and passion of the gardeners who have curated these spaces. The participating gardens are: An Impressionist Painting – Cathedral City. This desert hideaway features native and pollinator friendly plants, such as fan palms, barrel cacti, chollas, and milkweed surrounded by concrete paths. A relaxing water fountain is a key feature in this 3,000 sq. ft. garden. Desert Moraines – Rancho Mirage. This desert haven comprises several unique plants like Ficus microcarpa, mediterranean palms, and various large citrus trees. Some of the defining features are the stone wall, iron firepit, and staircase that leads to a pool area. Beton Brut Garden – Rancho Mirage. This dry haven utilizes drought tolerant plants like the California fan palm that leads to views into the Desert Zen garden and then the swimming pool. A key feature being a group of date palms surrounds the outdoor dining area. Gratitude – Rancho Mirage. This dry refuge showcases drought-tolerant plants like mature olive trees and large cacti. These cacti add to the dynamic features that this 2,500 square foot garden present. Check the Garden Conservancy's website for more information about Open Day events near the area! Look out for April 19 Los Angeles County Open Day. The gardens will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for registered guests. Tickets are $10 per person; $5 for members of the Garden Conservancy. Children 12 and under are admitted for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Visitors are reminded that no pets are allowed.
