Desert Soul Club brings the sounds of Motown, soul, and funk to the Amy Winehouse–themed Bar Valerie at The Velvet Rope for an intimate night of vintage vinyl 45s — spinning the kind of soul records that fuel the Mod dance floor.
In many ways, Bar Valerie’s black-and-gold room feels custom-made for Desert Soul Club, both in look and spirit — a perfect match for the records DJs Lee Joseph and Bob Deck have been spinning for nearly a decade as Palm Springs’ first all-vinyl soul night.
