KGAY and Bud Light Next present Cathedral City LGBT Days, March 25–27, 2022. This is California's First Pride of the Year.

The 6th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days celebrates the lives, history, and wonderful accomplishments the LGBT community has contributed in making Cathedral City one of the “most livable” cities in America and a testament to its perfect equality score by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The festival provides an opportunity to recognize the strength in our diversity, appreciate our similarities.

Sharing Our Desert's LGBTQ History

• Sharing Our Desert’s LGBTQ+ History is a chronological history of events, organizations and individuals who have helped to make the greater Palm Springs area the welcoming place that it is for LGBTQ+ individuals today. Taken from a more detailed historical timeline, the exhibit highlights some of what the Founding Committee of The LGBTQ+ History & Archives of the Desert has deemed of interest. In no way is this a comprehensive list of all the LGBTQ+ historical events or individuals who have contributed to our local history, but an attempt to show some of the most significant.
• The Exhibit is FREE and will be open during the following hours:
• Friday & Saturday, March 25 & 26, from 12 Noon to 8 pm
• Sunday, March 27, from 12 Noon to 2 pm

Bed Race Competition

• Join us for the 2022 Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Parade of Beds and Bed Race on Sunday, March 27, 2022 starting at 10:00 am in front of City Hall.  The Parade of Beds allow you to promote your organization or business for FREE in a fun, slow manner.  For those in the need for speed, sign-up now for the LGBT Days’ Bed Race where the winners take home new Schwinn Bikes.
• Teams of five are encouraged to sign-up now, decorate a float on wheels, step into some racing shoes or fancy pumps, and race for the coveted winner’s trophy. Everyone wins! Well, not really, but we have a really good time!
• Four individuals will push one person sitting on the bed from the rainbow step off on Avenida Lalo Guerrero and end at the finish line in front of City Hall. Fans and spectators will line the street and cheer as the beds race, sashay or simply saunter by to the finish line.  Oh, and when we say sashay, we really do mean sashay!

• Immediately after the bed race, join your friends for food trucks, music, and a Sunday brunch and picnic in the park.
