Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs 75th Anniversary

Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs will observe its 75th anniversary with a community open house on Thursday September 21 from 4 – 7 pm. The celebration will take place on the Club’s campus, located at 450 South Sunrise Way in Palm Springs and will feature demonstrations of many Club programs, tours of the new Health and Wellness Center, and the opening of its new Panda Cares Center of Hope homework room. Refreshments will be served and community members will be able to interact with Boys & Girls Club staff and board members. 

At 4 pm, the new Panda Cares Center of Hope homework room, renovated with support from Panda Cares Foundation, will be officially unveiled with a ribbon cutting ceremony. After this, participants will proceed to the Club’s gymnasium, where Keung will deliver opening remarks and receive a donation check from Desert Regional Medical Center. At 4:45 pm, Open House participants may explore the various program spaces on the campus to observe various programs in action. The spaces include the gymnasium, where pickleball, basketball, and 9 Square will be played, the art room where jewelry made of plastic Perler beads will be created, the Health and Wellness Center demonstration kitchen where Club members will be making Hawaiian Spam Musubi, and the Games Room, where Club members will demonstrate their skills at pool, table tennis, and shuffleboard. At 6 pm, Club members will participate in a raffle for an Xbox Series S model.
