Opening Celebration: A Century of Black History Commemorations
Main Museum
Kick off Black History Month with a community celebration featuring the James O Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center drumline and drill team. Remarks will be shared by the Palm Springs Black History Committee, Christine Vendredi, JoAnn McGrath Executive Director of Palm Springs Art Museum, and Naomi Soto, Mayor of Palm Springs. The evening includes a live performance by Poetic Moor and small bites by Tasteful Soul Catering with Chef Corinne.

Fashioning Architecture: Spotlight on Virgil Abloh
Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion
Held at the Architecture and Design Center, this program offers a focused conversation onย the life and legacy of Virgil Abloh and explores Ablohโs global impact on fashion, art, andย architecture. The evening continues with a celebratory mixer featuring a live DJ set by Bae Bae. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Female Form: College Night
Main Museum, Annenberg Theater
Designed especially for college students, this educational evening focuses on The Female Form: Tom Wesselmann & Mickalene Thomas from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation and includes a guided exhibition tour led by museum art educators. The night concludes with a live performance by Dare House.

Closing Celebration: Artist and Maker Pop Up
Main Museum, Elrod Garden
Black History Month programming concludes with an outdoor celebration in the Elrod Garden. Guests can enjoy small bites from Tasteful Soul Catering with Chef Corinne, a pop-up bar, live music from Million, and a market curated by Alice Flores Combs. Participating artists and makers include Aaliya Marie, Aaron L Madson, Lunar Jewelz, Isley Permanent Jewelry, Malakai Strong, Mojave Witch, Palm Springs in Colour, Jiigsaww, and Ree Miix Art.
