Unless you have tens of millions of dollars to drop on a home in Golden Oak, the millionaires’ playground on Walt Disney World property where heirs to massive fortunes do things like build their own Death Star, that dream has been purely a fantasy. The Walt Disney Company is building Cotino, its first-ever Storyliving by Disney planned community in Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs. It’s still very expensive by any metric — the homes start at more than $1 million — but given how expensive homes are in San Francisco and Los Angeles, it doesn’t quite seem like such a stretch….”
